Olja Savičević (1974)
studied linguistics and literature at the
University of Zadar. She has published several books of poetry
- individual poems of which have been translated into a number
of languages - and works as a columnist, literary critic and publisher.
Currently she is writing her first novel.
Her collection of short stories was
awarded the Croatian prize for the best new prose work of 2006
and 2007 the Ranko Marinković short-story prize. Several
of her stories have been made into short films.
